Mike J | UNC Class of 2014
There are some sessions that are fun and rememberable because as a photographer, we've worked to make sure that our clients are having a good time. There are others where our clients personalities are so outgoing and inviting that you have no other choice but to sit back, relax and enjoy their company.
That was how my session with Mike went. Oh man, I don't think I've laughed as hard as I did on this session in a long time. He's so full life and personality -- it's contagious.
I met with Mike on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his senior session. We walked around, waited through the long waiting line of graduating seniors for photos at the Old Well, suffered through the sweltering heat and most importantly got some GQ Magazine quality pictures. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.
These cap toss photos are amazing!
Mike's never seen Forest Gump, he didn't get my reference when I said that this pose reminded me of the movie.
He's Mr. UNC and Mr. Black Student Movement so it was fitting that he got a few shots in his crown and sash.
Mike has created so many ties to UNC and he's very well known. He is a member of the Xi Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. We had to have ran into all of his friends on campus. Every. Single. One! Lol. He didn't hesitate to let them know, "I'm taking pictures!"
Congratulations Mike! I wish you so much success in your future!
