Greenville NC EMT Engagement Photos | Danielle + Tyler
Time has evidently escaped us all, because it seems like just yesterday Danielle, Tyler, and I were sharing the same practice field at marching band rehearsal. On that same practice field is where Tyler and Danielle were first introduced. It was August 2004, 10 years ago and their freshman year of high school. A trumpet player introduced himself to a member of the flute section. They slowly developed a friendship as the weeks passed. Unknowingly at the time, they'd be a part of each others lives for the rest of their lives.
After a few weeks of rehearsal, the band was headed to their first competition of the season. Tyler sat beside Danielle on that bus ride home. Nervously, he let her know how much he liked her. She had developed similar feelings but she wasn't sure. A few moments later he slipped his arm around her and her feelings were cemented. As a teenager life has it's complexities and Danielle debated whether she were making an appropriate choice and questioned whether Tyler was the right one -- her best friend, Jenae, told her that it was obvious he was crazy about her. Their love was effortless because after only two weeks of dating Danielle uttered the words, "I love you." He loved her too. It just felt natural.
After a year they broke up for a short while and decided to give it another try. They've never looked back.
It's amazing to see a couple who, even after years on years on years of being together, light up each and every time they see each other. They've practically known each other their whole lives. His whole demeanor still changes when she's in the room and she literally melts whenever she sees him.
They are high school sweethearts. She, along with the rest of us, has been anxiously and patiently waiting for him to finally pop the question and when he was ready, she had a hard time determining whether it was a dream or reality.
According to her, they were running late for the Bell Arthur EMT Appreciation Dinner at the Seahorse Restaurant here in Greenville, NC. They were five minutes early so he figured this would be a great time to finally ask for her hand in marriage. He had placed the ring box in the glove compartment of his car, so when he purposely asked her to hand him an item from the glove compartment she was in total disbelief. She immediately slammed the glove compartment.
"No really, you should open it."
Tyler is a naturally hilarious and a jokester, so it's not hard to believe that Danielle had a hard time taking this in.
I think it's so amazing that they've both dedicated their lives to save the lives of others. True heroes. They're so perfect for each other.
I had the honor to document a love that's effortlessly original, pure and simply perfect. Tyler and Danielle, I wish you so much happiness in your lives together. I'm so anxious, as I'm sure you are, for your wedding day. Love you both.
