To The BTP 2016 Senior Models
Yesterday, as I was on my first styled shoot with my Class of 2017 Senior Models... it finally hit me! Later this week my 2016 models will be graduating! I couldn't believe that I was working with a complete new group of seniors and that my 2016 babies were about to leave me.
It literally feels like they were JUST submitting their applications and we were meeting to shoot their sessions at the beginning of the year. Now they're about to walk across the stage and will transition from high school seniors into college freshman. Where does the time go?
This year has been one of the best yet! We've had so much fun... from having to shoot Jharnell's session on multiple days because it always rained on the day of her shoot, or watching Kaylah "drop" and "hit the folks" during her session, seeing Caitlin transform in front of my eyes, laughing non-stop with Alexis and Kayla because they're hilarious, and talking about Beyoncé with Tyla. I'm just so thankful to share this moment with you all. It's bittersweet seeing you go, but I'm so very proud of you all.
I wanted to wait until graduation day to share the photos from this shoot but I couldn't wait any longer... and besides a few of the girls have been on me about sharing the. Lol. A few weeks ago, we got together to shoot together one last time so that they could show off where they will be attending college in the fall. As usual this shoot was amazing... confetti poppers, huge balloons, a little jumping, and a lot of goofy. I'm going to miss all of you so much!
Jharnell and Caitlin will be attending my alma mater, East Carolina University, in the fall!
Kaylah, Kayla, and Portland will be attending THE North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
Alexis will be attending Winston-Salem State University and Tyla will be attending The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Not only are these ladies super beautiful, they're smart as well! I'm so honored to announce that the BTP 2016 Senior Model team has over 1 million dollars in scholarship offers combined. Congratulations, ladies! You deserve all the success in the world. You all are so very smart and it's time to take the world by storm. I'm going to miss you all so much!
