River Ridge Golf Club Wedding : Asha + Mark
Their family and friends literally traveled from across the world to join in their celebration of love. Surrounded by those who mean the most to them, Asha and Mark exchanged vows on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. They chose to honor her father, who passed a few years back, by having their ceremony close to his birthday. It was such an emotional day for her, she didn't have to say it, we could see it but she knew that he was there with her as he's always been... looking down and showering his baby girl with love as only he knew how.
She didn't want to cry to mess up her makeup. If it weren't for that reason alone... Asha would have been balling the entire day. "Let me hold it together... we have pictures to take." She was marrying the love of her life. The guy who, despite her initial hesitations, stole her heart but brought an endless amount of happiness. He didn't say it either, but he was just as emotional. Occasionally, he'd drift off into thought and you could tell that he too was starting to get a little nervous, he'd quickly snap out of it and keep it moving.
It's not the giggles or giddiness. It doesn't lie in the showering of gifts or public displays of affection. Their love is apparent through the unspoken moments they share, a language spoken so vividly that it exudes their affection and makes you literally feel their fondness of each other. That's true love.
She knows exactly what he needs. As she was making her way to the alter, she saw that he had tears in his eyes. "... I smiled and started laughing so that we wouldn't cry. If he let a tear fall, I knew I would start balling and my 'other' mother, Terri [ the officiant ] would too."
He shows his love in the little things he does. They literally danced throughout the entire reception. As it began to wind down, Asha let Mark know that she was ready to go back to their hotel. "Ok. I'm going to have the DJ play one last song for us to dance to...", he says and heads over to the DJ booth to make the request. "It's you, and me. Moving through the speed of light into eternity." Asha flashed her gorgeous smile as "Forever" by Chris Brown played. It was a perfect fit to end their wedding day. "It's like I waited my whole life, for this one night. It's 'gon be me and you on the dance floor... let's dance forever."
Congratulations Asha + Mark. It was truly amazing getting to experience the amount of love that you share. I know your father is smiling from ear to ear know that his girl has found the love of her life, know that he's by your side through each step you both take. I wish you both millions of unspoken moment, smiles, laughs, moments of holding back tears 😂, and that you dance together forever and ever.
