2016 American Heart Association Down East Heart Ball
Each year the American Heart Association seeks to raise funds to support cardiovascular disease research and awareness. One of their efforts is a black tie gala hosted each spring here in Greenville, NC called the Down East Heart Ball. Last week, I got the incredible opportunity to work with them to capture this year's event and it was one word... AMAZING!
Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in men and women in the United States. More than 2,200 Americans die from heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases each day. It was such an honor to celebrate and raise awareness with so many heroes who fight every day to help saves lives.
This year's event was hosted by Dave Jordan of WITN and Dr. Virginia Hardy of East Carolina University who is the chair of the annual event. Dr. John Mark Williams was the guest of honor. He was recognized for 30 years of service to patients and families here in the ENC, some of who where in attendance that night.
Thank you so much for inviting me out. I enjoyed every minute. Check out the photos below to see how the fun unfolded. Simply amazing!
