Happy Birthday To My Blog
A little over a year ago I set out to create an online space where I could share my love and passion for photography with an audience. At the time, to me it didn't matter how many people would actually read what I had to share -- I only wanted to create a space where people could come to see my work should they choose, I had no idea that this would become a integral part of my life.
As the first days passed and I began sharing the sessions that I was shooting, I slowly but surely became addicted to blogging and decided that I wanted to share my story as well. I created a separate personal blog and began sharing my ideas on life, opinions, things that inspired me, and things that I only hoped would inspire others. After a few months, feeling a bit burned out from running two blogs, and continued research, I decided that I would combine the two.
I found myself sharing content from both blogs with my clients so I decided that I wanted to give my clients a glimpse what happens behind the scenes and things that I'm feeling as they happen. I wanted to create a personal connection with them and I figured that was the best way to do so. I was super nervous, however. I just KNEW there were going to be things some didn't agree with and that I would lose a few potential clients... but that was a risk that I was willing to take.
I didn't lose any potential clients, but what I gained was the ability to share my ideas and things about myself to motivate and inspire others. What I gained was a way to vent my stresses. What I gained was a sense of love and dedication that I've never felt before. What I gained was a way for me to see my growth over the years and a place on the interwebs that I can call my own.
I absolutely love my blog!
